but there is a problem, when we hard boil our eggs they stick to the shell when you peel them and they look terrible, something like this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jnrfarms.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Sad-pealed-eggs.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-157\" src=\"https:\/\/jnrfarms.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Sad-pealed-eggs-300x172.jpg\" alt=\"Sad-pealed-eggs\" width=\"217\" height=\"124\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jnrfarms.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Sad-pealed-eggs-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/jnrfarms.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Sad-pealed-eggs-600x344.jpg 600w, https:\/\/jnrfarms.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Sad-pealed-eggs-1024x587.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 217px) 100vw, 217px\" \/><\/a>As my Dad would say, a big F- in presentation!\u00a0 So I decided to do some research to see why this is happening and if I could find a solution.\u00a0 I found both!\u00a0 The fresher the egg, the more the whites stick to the shell when hard-cooked.\u00a0 So it turns out the shell sticks because the eggs are SO fresh that there is no air space between the egg and the shell.\u00a0 Who knew!?\u00a0 The older the egg the more &#8220;air space&#8221; there is inside the shell.\u00a0 That is why store bought eggs never do this, they are old and have plenty of air space.\u00a0 You might want to consider <a href=\"https:\/\/jnrfarms.us\/news\/farm-store\/farm-products\/\">purchasing fresh eggs from us<\/a>!\u00a0 I mean who wants to eat old anything&#8230;Yuck!<\/p>\n<p>Now that we knew the why, how do we fix it, I mean we don&#8217;t want our paying customers to have ugly hard boiled eggs!\u00a0 There are two ways to prevent this from happening.<\/p>\n<p>The First we have not tried is to add and 1\/2 teaspoon of baking soda to the water when you boil the eggs.\u00a0 This method seems to get very mixed results judging from the comments I read on multiple sites, so we are not suggesting this method.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Method we suggest<\/strong> is:<\/p>\n<p>Bring a pot of water to a full boil (with no eggs in it).\u00a0\u00a0 Using a slotted spoon gently slide the eggs off of a slotted spoon into the boiling water.\u00a0 Cook for 10-14 minutes then run cold water over the eggs (or place them in an ice bath) until cool to the touch.\u00a0 That is it, your hard boiled eggs will now peel away nicely.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jnrfarms.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/hard-boiled-eggs.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-158\" src=\"https:\/\/jnrfarms.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/hard-boiled-eggs.jpg\" alt=\"hard-boiled-eggs\" width=\"183\" height=\"163\" \/><\/a>Much better!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"border-radius: 2px;
