DISCLAIMERS

***Disclaimer:
Updated May 1, 2016

NONE OF US ARE VETERINARIANS. The information on this site is based on information gathered from long time goat breeders, veterinarians, books and our experiences both present and past.  The information on this site is not intended to replace professional veterinary and/or medical advice.  We disclaim all liability in connection with the use of any products and/or information presented on or contained in/on this web site.

Goat Sale Terms and Conditions

By contacting us about purchasing a goat you have agreed to our sales policy. This is only the terms and conditions for our dairy goats

We ask that anyone contacting us about purchasing is eighteen (18) years of age or older, if you are under eighteen (18) please have a parent or guardian contact us.  We will not release an animal without a parent or guardian present at the time of pick up.  We hold the right to refuse or cancel a sale at any time for any reason.  If a sale is canceled by the buyer any monies paid will be forfeited, if we cancel the sale monies paid toward the kid will be refunded, any shipping fees, crate fees or transportation fees will not be refunded.

We will not take deposit reservations, we will keep a small waiting list for doe or bucks kids on each doe with no money down. Once we have picked which kids will be offered for sale we will go down the waiting list in order we were contacted and the potential buyer will have forty-eight (48) hours to commit or pass the sale. If they commit to the sale a PayPal, check or money order must be received within five (5) days including any other costs including but not limited to: health papers, shipping fees, crate fees and airport transportation fees.  If no one is on the waiting list or no one commits to purchase the animal will be posted for sale for the general public on a first come, first served basis.

All doe and bucks sold are registered or recorded (or registration is pending), tattooed and dis-budded before leaving our care unless otherwise negotiated.  All wethers are tattooed, disbudded and neutered before leaving our care.  Once any animal leaves our care we cannot guarantee the health, show success or fertility of the animal, so please choose transporters carefully.  All animals are evaluated before being posted for sale and before leaving our care to the best of our knowledge.  We reserve the right to purchase twenty (20) straws of semen from any buck (adult of kid) sold by us at the per straw cost of collection.

Shipping

If your goat cannot be picked up in person we do offer to ship them by air or with a ground transporter at the expense and designation of the buyer. We maintain the right to refuse any transporter for any reason.  We will supply the transporter with a few days worth of food past when they are expected to be delivered in addition to a bag of hay to help with the initial stress of transporting.  We do everything we can to make transporting as stress free as possible but once the animal is out of care we cannot guarantee the health or condition of the animal so please choose transporters wisely.  If the transporter needs a crate it will be at the expense of the buyer.

For shipping, we ship out of Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT.  The expenses of the buyer include but are not limited to: shipping fees, flight carrier and crate fees, health papers and other vet expenses, and transportation to the airport.  Kids are shipped in a dog create with a dish and hay.  Kids will be given coccidia prevention treatment, probiotics and bottles with electrolytes to help with the stress of traveling. We try to make this as stress free as possible for the animals.  It’s best to arrive at the airport as soon as the crate arrives and offer them a bottle.  We recommend introducing them to the rest of your kids as soon as possible to help them settle in as quickly as possible.  We prefer to ship on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings for Saturday morning or evening arrivals but will work with the schedule of the buyer.  Please contact us personally for information on international shipping.
